Harmony Water Project

Unitywater is investing in new water infrastructure to meet future demand in a growing community. This important work will mean continued safe and reliable water services for the Harmony community.

The new water infrastructure will help meet the Sunshine Coast’s growing population demands, both now and into the future, including the 21,000 residents who will live in Harmony by 2036.

The project is part of Unitywater’s commitment to support emerging communities on the Sunshine Coast by investing in sustainable water and sewerage infrastructure to meet population growth. In doing so, Unitywater will play its part in contributing to future construction industry opportunities at a critical time in our region.

Unitywater will continue to upgrade and invest in water supply infrastructure in a sustainable way to meet the demands of our growing region.

Project Details:

  • The Harmony Water Project includes construction of a new water reservoir at Tanawha and installation of 2.6kms of new water pipeline from the reservoir to Harmony in Palmview.
  • Construction commenced in mid 2023 and is expected to be completed by late 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.
  • Together, with our construction partner McConnell Dowell, we will work closely with the local community to keep them informed about the project and reduce any disruption.
