Accredited Entities and Unitywater Collaboration Space

We're working hard at Unitywater to improve the experience for the development industry. We want to make things better, and we're excited about the future.

This workspace has been created as an extra communication and collaboration channel for Development Services and Accredited Entities.

What can we use it for?

On the side of the page you can follow-up on a submission, share feedback, access the uCertify newsletter, see any updates from Development Services (e.g. people movements) and key dates.

Below you can ask us a question, post or show support to an idea, or you can post in a joint forum to start or participate in a discussion.

This is a live workspace, which will only work if there's two-way involvement. Our commitment to you is we'll monitor it and respond to keep it moving. Afterall, a partnership is not one-way.

Let's collaborate.

  • Hi, Consider a new dwelling proposal on a an existing lot at Noosaville. The is serviced by a sewer that extends into the property by about 3m. If the applicant makes a standard connection application for the dwelling will they be required to provide an easement over the existing infrastructure? Thanks

Hi Bill, thanks for your question. No easement would be required. Let me know if you have any other questions. Kind regards, Blair

  • With the recent changes to the Large Diameter water meter drawings (and the impending removal of SEQ-WAT1108-4 & 5), how are projects that are inflight (and approved) and specifically reference 1108-4 & 5 to be handled? Are these to be completed using 1108-4 & 5 or is the expectation that all projects transition across to the new drawings? If so, for all projects that reference SEQ-WAT-1108-4 & 5 in the approval, is the expectation that an amendment is to be submitted to reflect the new drawings? My view is all inflight approvals should be permitted to run their course (under SEQ-WAT-1108-4 & 5), and all new approvals reference the new standard drawing set

Hi Shaun, thank you for your question!

The revised drawings will apply from 30th April 2024 for new designs. In flight projects may continue to use the existing drawings.

Please note that UW interpretation of ‘in flight approvals’ is taken to be applications lodged but not decided, so we would not include pre-applications being worked on but not lodged yet in as 'in flight'.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.
