Reconnect at Redcliffe Breakfast Club

On Thursday 4 August, I joined my colleagues Kim and Andrew at the Redcliffe Breakfast Club to support Reconnect- an event hosted by the Moreton Bay Housing and Homelessness Network.

Roughly 350 people attended the free community event, which saw a variety of service providers come together to share information and support the community's most vulnerable. A range of practical services and activities were also on offer- including a free brekky, immunisations and haircuts.

Our main role on the day was to support the mindfulness station- a quiet space at the event for people to relax and take it easy. We chatted to other volunteers and members of the community about their involvement with Redcliffe Breakfast Club, and encouraged attendees to turn their hand at decorating rocks with their favourite inspirational quotes for the club's soon to be built rock garden.

It was great to support such an heartwarming event & make some new connections with people in our community.
