Potable Water Fill Station Wamuran

Project background

Unitywater is committed to supporting thriving communities in the Moreton Bay region by investing in water services.

The new community water fill station will help ensure access to essential drinking water during times of need, in a way that is safe, practical and meets community demand.

About the project

A community potable water fill station will be installed on Rucker Road in Wamuran. This includes a parking bay so vehicles can safely pull off the road while using the facility.

Many properties in the area rely on rainwater tanks or deliveries. During previous droughts some households experienced water delivery delays of up to six weeks creating significant hardship.

This project will assist and protect the community in times of drought and dry weather conditions.

Construction

Geotechnical and investigative works have been completed in preparation for construction.

We will provide updates on the construction schedule when available.

Construction is anticipated to take approximately four weeks, weather and site conditions permitting.

Impacts

During construction nearby residents may experience increased traffic, construction noise and possible dust. Every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum.

To ensure the safety of road users and workers, temporary traffic control will be in place, including reduced speed and road-shoulder closure.

Keeping you informed

We are committed to keeping the local community informed to minimise impacts as much as possible.
