Pine Valley Water Supply Project
The Pine Valley Water Supply Project will deliver a new 15 megalitre (ML) reservoir and more than 8 kilometres of water pipelines. The new water reservoir will be constructed within Unitywater-owned land near Jacko Place, Morayfield.
Design and construction
The project is in the detailed design phase and early engagement with property owners and community members is ongoing.
Unitywater has conducted early planning to ensure the chosen alignment minimises impacts to the local community and the environment.
The chosen alignment for the water pipelines has been designed along existing road verges and within existing easements on private properties to minimise impact on the natural and built environment.
Unitywater is committed to minimising environmental impacts and reducing the need to clear vegetation where possible. If areas must be cleared to make way for infrastructure, native revegetation is planned as part of the project.
Supporting thriving communities
The new water infrastructure will support population growth in the City of Moreton Bay. Over the next two decades, Caboolture West, Morayfield South and Pine Valley will be the focus of urban development to accommodate more than 100,000 new residents.
Unitywater will continue to upgrade and invest in water infrastructure in a sustainable way to meet the demands of our growing region.
