Beachmere Water Tower

Our community artwork program transforms reservoirs, water towers and pump stations across Moreton Bay, Noosa and the Sunshine Coast.

We transformed Beachmere Water Tower, located at the Beachmere Road/Bishop Road roundabout. Beachmere was our 17th artwork delivered across the Unitywater network. Our artists, The Brightsiders, completed the tower’s transformation in late May 2021, coinciding with the community's 150th-anniversary celebration of the seaside town.

The community decided!

We asked the community to vote for their favourite of two designs The Brightsiders created, based on earlier community feedback, and the clear winner was Coastal Wildlife. The design features a colourful display of local wildlife, capturing the community appeal of Beachmere. During the voting period, the community told us they’d prefer to see the more locally common yellow-tailed black cockatoo on the tower rather than the red-tailed variety used in the design. So, we updated the artwork accordingly!

Thank you having your say - you helped us create a beautiful artwork for the Beachmere community to enjoy!
