Local artist, Dan Krause, will be painting a mural on the pump station along Francis Road (opposite Isis Road) starting from Wednesday 3 July.
About Dan's mural
This mural is a tribute to the vibrant local wildlife Dan grew up with and experienced firsthand living in Pine Rivers. Each creature depicted has a special connection to our community and environment, reminding us of the natural beauty that surrounds us every day.
The background, a flowing representation of water, symbolizes the lifeblood of our ecosystems—essential, ever-moving, and shared by all living things. At the heart of the piece is an abstract blue swirl, representing the vital connection provided by water. It's a thread that ties nature and community together.
Through this artwork, Dan hopes to spark thought and care—encouraging viewers to reflect on the importance of protecting and preserving our local wildlife. It's a gentle reminder that every choice we make has an impact, and together we can create a future where nature and community thrive side by side.
